UK EXAMS.COM has compiled two lists subject by subject of recommended texts, one for GCSE and one for A level examinations. Both are regularily revised and reviewed in line with changes to the syllabuses and also to ensure that the listed books are still in print.
The lists are for essential textbooks. Up to three per subject. These are the books that should cover the core of the syllabus for each subject and all boards. The lists can be seen by clicking as indicated below.
