The CCEA A level and GCSE exams are taken mainly but not exclusively by students from Northern Ireland.

For the summer examination session of 1998, the CCEA had 3% of the total individual exam entries by subject for UK candidates who sat A level and GCSE exams. At A level 43% of candidates obtained grades of B and higher, at GCSE level the figure was 42%.
